My Song Choice

I have decided to use the song White Blank Page originally sung by Mumford & Sons, but this is a cover by Taylor Swift, for my music video. Mumford & Sons are an English alternative/folk/rock band signed to Island Records, a subsidiary of Universal. The song White Blank Page features on their debut album, Sigh No More which was released in October 2009. They performed their song Timshel, also off their debut album, at the Brit Awards, where they won Best British Album. Their album sales subsequently increase by over 250% following their performance. This shows how the British Public respond to their live performances. They have been active since 2007 and released their second album "Babel" in October 2012. They get the folk sound from the instruments which they use, for example banjo, upright bass, mandolin and piano. Taylor Swift covered the song as part of a BBC Radio One Live Lounge session. Taylor Swift is a solo artist mainly of the genre of pop/singer/songwriter, but this song still belongs to the folk/indie rock genre of its original artist.
